I'm going to talk about salary peak system. the government is reorganizing this system which is a gradual salary cut for emploees after they reach a certain age in return for job security. I think that it is really
ineffective system. There are some reasons for my opinion.
Above all, deffered retirement by salary peak system can be connected to weak hiring new employees. As a result, although many student graduate, they could not get a job so that unemployment rate continue to rise.
Secondly, the application of this system can make elderly employees get less money than younger because of more age. In addition, they can feel an ever greater sense of deprivation.
Some people say that it is good for job creation for elderly people in an aging society. I understand that our country is having a difficulty in growing elderly people population. There is a growing need to introduce this system in preperation for aging society. But companies might abuse alternative ways of elderly emploees redundancy. That is to say that nominally this system is institutionalized with the purpose of preparation for aging society. In fact, it makes companies easily dismiss elderly labors.
For that reasons, I disagree that salary peak system is effective system.
Actually, there exist both pros and cons if this system is accepted. two things have trade off relation. Therefore, we try to think what is more effective. :)
